2012 Palestinian Competition for Research and Seminar Participation in Art History in Algeria or Turkey

The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) and PARC are pleased to announce the new Getty Research Exchange Fellowship Program. The fellowship program is open to scholars in Palestine who have already obtained a Ph.D. or have professional experience in the field of art history and who wish to undertake a specific research project in Algeria or Turkey related to the seminar theme: Art and Archaeology of the Sacred (Algeria) or Vision and Visual Culture in Byzantium (Turkey).

Multi-Country Research Fellowship Competition

Awards up to $12,000

The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) Multi-Country Fellowship Program supports advanced regional or trans-regional research in the humanities, social sciences, or natural allied sciences for U.S. doctoral candidates and post-doctoral scholars. Preference will be given to candidates examining comparative and/or cross-regional research. Applicants are eligible to apply as individuals or in teams. Scholars must carry out research in two or more countries outside the United States, at least one of which hosts a participating American overseas research center. (PARC is included among these centers.) Approximately nine awards of $12,000 each will be given. (Please note that fellowships for master's level students will not be given for this year.)
